BIOSKETCH
Dr. Jeyasakthy Saniasiaya is a Lecturer and Consultant in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology at Universiti Malaya. She completed Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology at Starship Children’s Hospital, New Zealand, and advanced training in Pediatric Audiovestibular Medicine at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool. She has been a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, since 2022.
Recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University, she has over 200 publications and serves as Academic Editor and Editorial Board Member of several distinguished journal including International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, PLOS ONE and ENT Journal. She established pioneering pediatric Vestibular services, as well as Aerodigestive and Saliva Control in Malaysia. Her research focuses on the role of biomarkers and the gut microbiome in modulating vestibular function, neurodevelopment, and cognition in children, with a particular focus on vestibular disorders and their functional and cognitive consequences.
